Above: Banners created by participants during a workshop at South London Gallery (2019). The young people worked in small groups to design and make a banner for a cause that they cared about.
I have been facilitating creative workshops since 2015. I have worked with a broad range of people of all ages and abilities. There are a number of creative sessions that I lead regularly, including; banner making, rotoscoped animation, and zine making. I also deliver reflective, discussion-based, and experimental sessions for artists and designers, such as; practice mapping and ideas generation. I design accompanying resources, including; illustrated worksheets, decks of cards, and craft packs.
These sessions have often been part of longer term, collaborative, co-produced and participant-led projects. Examples include; The slabs whistle; a song under my wheels, KARST & Take A Park (2022); Banners for Nelson’s Festival of Culture (2022); Planting Flags for Breezes Free, Eastside Projects (2019); and Adam Speaks (With New Mouths), The National Trust (2017).
