Reclaim Cultural Surplus, Textiles, 2021
In 2021 I was invited by Dorothee Richer and Ronald Kolb to work with them and their Postgraduate Curation students at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK). We collaborated on a project titled Reclaim Culture Surplus, which contributed to ongoing conversations regarding the many disparities in Zurich’s art scene.
I gave talks, held discussions, and facilitated workshops, which contributed to the project’s development. Through these session we; articulated our goals; wrote a ‘good practice’ manifesto; generated posters and slogans; and created materials for a public protest and an exhibition. I also produced a banner, which was carried on a protest marches through the streets of Zurich and Basel, and displayed in an exhibition at the OnCurating Project Space (8-18 May 2021).
