Reclaim Cultural Surplus, Textiles, 2021

In 2021 I was invited by Dorothee Richer and Ronald Kolb to work with them and their Postgraduate Curation students at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK). We collaborated on a project titled Reclaim Culture Surplus, which contributed to the ongoing conversations regarding the many disparities in Zurich’s art scene.

I gave talks, held discussions, and facilitated workshops, which contributed to the project’s overall development, such as; the articulation of our goals, the writing of a ‘good practice’ manifesto, the generation of slogans, and the creation of materials for a public intervention and an exhibition. I also produced a banner, which will be on display at the OnCurating Project Space, 8-18 May 2021.

The project found form via a public protest in the streets of Zurich and an exhibition at the OnCurating Project Space.
