English Disco Lovers (EDL) 2012-15, HD video with sound, 14 minutes 18 seconds, 2019

In 2012, I founded English Disco Lovers (EDL), a multifaceted protest group, which aimed to reclaim the EDL acronym of the English Defence League. In 2019, I revisted the project and produced a video essay, which contextualises English Disco Lovers (EDL) in relationship to the underground jazz cafes of Nazi-occupied Paris, Rock Against Racism, and the discotheques of 1970s America.
